Pyrenees Wine Merchants is a Chicago-based importer of exceptional independent European wines and spirits, working exclusively with Beivuma Distribution in Illinois. Founded by Steven W. Alexander and Kristin Lewis and launching in 2026, the company is the culmination of more than twenty years of travel, research, and long-standing relationships across Spain, France, Italy, and Portugal.

We take our inspiration from the majestic Pyrenees Mountains, the natural border between Spain and France and a crossroads of some of Europe’s most compelling wine and culinary traditions.

Pyrenees Wine Merchants is a boutique company built around family growers. The heart of our portfolio lies in Spain, complemented by select estates from Portugal and France. Our guiding principle is to represent quality-driven, human-scale wineries while honoring the culture and context in which their wines are produced.
